I always find it strange that the new school year brings back so many memories of my own days of starting school – the realisation that the ‘big day’ had arrived, the exhaustion after spending a day in a classroom and, the sense of anticipation of what lay ahead for my following year of schooling.
Even as an adult the new school year has a way of bringing about change and starting afresh, don’t you think? It’s a time when we rise from our summer slumber to start something new.
Now, as a parent, the first day of bringing my son to school is a time to wish the best for him each year. For all of you going back to school, I wish you the very best, and to any parents reading, this blog post serves as a reminder to be kind and take care of yourself and your families as this new academic year commences (tips from me on how to do so are included!)…

Setting Intentions For The New School Year
September, for me, is an ideal month for intention setting. I always, even as a child, used to daydream – little did I know at that time that I was setting my personal goals and living them.
Personally, I find, that this is the time of the year that I set myself goals and find that doing so with the change of seasons, makes them easier to stick with and achieve.
This year I plan on learning Italian over the autumn and winter months, as I am planning a trip to Italy in April of 2022. Are there any specific goals that you are setting for yourself right now?
Look After Yourself And Your Family This New School Year
With the change from summer to autumn comes the added pressure of taking extra good care of our immune systems. This is something that I am passionate about and would like to share a few tips…
- Take some time for yourself and spend it in nature away from technology. Walking or doing what you like, soaking up the natural beauty that surrounds us and absorbing some stillness, peace, and quiet. I find that time like this can be the most creative, the time when one takes a break from the everyday busyness of life.
- Look after your health physically. Eating good food at this time of year is especially important, particularly fresh vegetables and fruit. I do not have a big garden but I have taken to growing herbs, rocket, lettuce, tomatoes, raspberries, rhubarb, and gooseberries. After all, there is nothing like homegrown food and some lovely home baking.
- Think about your mental health and the mental health of those around you. The new school year brings more everyday tasks and with that to-do list mounting it can be easy to become overwhelmed. I’ve recently shared my personal tips to manage mental health and well-being and perhaps, following recent times, it’s maybe now more important than ever to be aware of our mental health.

Review What You And Your Family Are Using To Keep Yourselves Well
It’s around this time of year that I review our Nutritionals and skincare products as with the weather changes, interaction with others, daylight hours, and other factors come the need to protect ourselves in different ways.
Here are some of the products that my family and I use and that I continue to share with parents of school-going children…
Forever Kids
These delicious chewable multi vitamins provide children with the nutrients needed each day including vitamin A, C, D, and B12 calcium, iron, and zinc. They contain no aspartame, no artificial colours or preservatives.
My baby who is 22 still loves them!
Aloe first spray
This multi-purpose formulated spray with aloe vera and bee propolis helps soothe and protect skin and hair from damaging effects of exposure, chlorine, and minor skin irritations. It also works as an effective after-sun moisturising spray! The pH- balancing mist offers a delicate way to apply the product without having to rub or touch very sensitive skin.
I always carry a bottle of Aloe First in my son’s sports bag for all those cuts and grazes that are experienced. I also used to spray it in his hair on his way to school as certain bugs that children get in their hair are not a fan of aloe.
Instant Hand Sanitizer
Forever instant hand Sanitizer will keep the whole family protected wherever the adventure leads. This is a citrus-scented aloe-based hand Sanitizer, which is ideal for cleaning your hands and those of your loved one quickly and effectively. It’s suggested to apply and rub for 30 seconds.
Needless to say, having hand sanitizer available is a must with this size being the perfect fit for my handbag.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, I hope that you have found my tips helpful for both yourself and your family.
As we prepare for the return of schools, I would like to remind you if you fancy making a residual income, I can help by offering and coaching you to develop an income with the Forever Living opportunity. This can be done without comprising your current job, affording you that extra income sum to assist with things such as fees for additional after-school classes or even something nice for yourself. It was a decision I took over 14 years ago and have never looked back.
You can get in touch with me via email anita@anitaaloe.com or book a call here for an informal chat to find out some more information.
Wishing you a super academic year for ’21 / ’22!
